Emme and Phil Aronson
AOL Wellness Coaches Emme and Phillip Aronson are dedicated to eradicating the stigma associated with mental illness. Emme, the supermodel and TV personality, put her career on hold for several years to care for Phil during his difficult struggle with depression. In their book 'Morning Has Broken,' Phil and Emme recall their journey as a couple surviving the ordeal. Since their battle and triumph together over Phil's depression, Emme and Phil have become involved with the charity Families for Depression Awareness. When they're not busy helping out victims of depression, Emme and Phil can also be found supporting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society as cyclists in the annual MS100. For many years, Phil has supported Emme's career long efforts to raise awareness about eating disorders as Chair Ambassador of NEDA (National Eating Disorders Association).
Families for Depression Awareness stands to help families recognize and cope with depressive disorders by educating and uniting them.
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society supports MS research, offers services for people with MS, provides professional education programs, and furthers advocacy for the cause.
The National Eating Disorder Association is dedicated to the education and prevention of eating disorders. NEDA provides people with the programs and services that they need to help support the elimination of eating disorders. NEDA also founded the nation's first toll-free eating disorders information and referral helpline.
Emme and Phil also support the following organizations: Mental Health Association in New Jersey, Mental Health Association of Westchester, and The International Foundation for Research and Education on Depression.
