Wellness Coach Nancy Davis

AOL Wellness Coach Nancy Davis was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a disease of the central nervous system which disrupts communication between the brain and the rest of the boy, when she was 33. Instead of giving into her doctor's order to stay in bed, Nancy educated herself and expanded her medical options to create a healthy lifestyle. Motivated by the lesson she learned she wrote 'Lean on Me: Ten Powerful Steps to Moving Beyond Your Diagnosis and Taking Back Your Life,' a guide to help people navigate the bumpy healthcare road, and the road to improved health. Her experiences also inspired her to create the Race to Erase MS and the The Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis.

The Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis holds the Race to Erase MS, which is now in its fourteenth year and has raised $30 million for MS research. All proceeds from the annual race support the Nancy Davis Center Without Walls, a network of the nation's top seven MS research centers' physicians, scientists and clinicians working together. The foundation strives to combat MS through research as well as increase awareness about the disease.
