About Ann Pleshette Murphy
Ann Pleshette Murphy, author of 'The 7 Stages of Motherhood,' is the parenting contributor to ABC TV’s 'Good Morning America.' Since joining GMA in November 1998, more than 300 of her 'American Family' segments have aired before five million viewers. A well-known magazine journalist and editor, Ann was Editor-in-Chief of Parents magazine from 1988 to 1998 and a Contributing Editor from 1998 to 2002. She wrote a monthly column for Family Circle magazine from 2002 until 2005 and currently, her ParentSmart column appears bi-weekly in USAWeekend magazine. Ann is a cum laude graduate of Harvard University, where she majored in psychology.
