Lawyer and former prosecutor Jones Reynolds began hosting 'The View' in 1997, expanding the show's commentary to law, self-esteem, race, family, education, religion and media. She is also the author of the best seller 'You Have to Stand for Something, or You'll Fall for Anything.' She lives with her husband in East Hampton and New York City.

She has appeared on many other talk shows and in 2005 was tapped to by E! Jones Reynolds, a graduate of American University, received her law degree from the University of Houston and began her career in the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office. In the Homicide Bureau she gained attention in court with a number of highly publicized victories, including a conviction for a serial sex abuser after lawyers had failed to do so in four other cases. After years of single fame, in 2004 Star Jones married Al Scales Reynolds. She is involved in many philanthropic efforts, including being on the board of directors/trustees for The HollyRod Foundation for Parkinson's Research, God's Love We Deliver, and The G&P Foundation for Cancer Research, and The East Harlem School.
